↓ I have always been intrigued by the human aspect of architecture. I believe it is closer to psychology than to engineering. ↓ I began teaching at the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design in 2010. We were preparing with the students for the Danish Wood Festival that was called off, so instead we organised the first Hungarian Hello Wood camp in Csongrád. ↓ I considered construction as a special and informal element of educational activity, and together with my colleagues, we saw immense potential in the camp. ↓ In 2013 an open call in English was announced, attracting both international and Hungarian students. ↓ Archdaily was broadcasting live from the site, which generated such great interest for next year’s camp that a jury was set up to select the participants. ↓ Students and faculty members from top international universities also applied, so there was no room for Hungarian students. As a result, we launched Hello Wood Építész Mustra specifically for them. ↓ By 2015, Hello Wood was operating as a consciously built business and our team won various awards one after another. ↓ The essence of the camps lies in the fact that they are not traditional architectural projects; rather, workshops focusing on education, community building, and personal development. ↓ I was a member of Hello Wood until 2022. For me, the enthusiasm of the students, the many personal connections, and the alumni are the key factors of success.
